Carol Welsman

Carol Welsman is an internationally acclaimed singer and pianist whose expressive vocal styling and dynamic stage presence have captivated audiences around the world.  One of Canada's finest, she performs in Italian, French, Portuguese and English, and has sung for President Clinton, Governor Grey Davis, Stevie Wonder and Gordon Lightfoot, among other famous people.  Ms. Welsman is a Juno (Canada's version of Grammy) award winner and will
be performing with a bass player and drummer.

Jeff Linsky has traveled the world for more than three decades with his guitar, recording several critically acclaimed albums along the way and written for film and television as an award-winning composer.  With his endless repertoire, wonderful improvisational skills, a dry sense of humor and warm stage presence, he has played many of the world's finest halls and has been invited to perform privately for President, and Royalty.  Jeff will perform as a trio with bass and percussion.

    Moscow Nights and Golden Gates

Back by popular demand!  This is the tenth season for this  Russian ensemble of three world-renown, prize-winning musicians(Moscow Nights) and dancers (Golden Gates) touring together presenting authentic and traditional Russian folk music, songs, rituals, stories, audience participation and dances.  The dancers will thrill you with their skillful virtuosity, colorful costumes, syncopation of footwork and gymnastic leaping of foot-stomping ferocity.

2 PM SUNDAY, MAY 4, 2014

CYO was founded in San Diego in 1956 to create a symphony for the more advanced instrumentalists in San Diego County.  The CYO provides an opportunity for students up to age 20 to grow in competence and flourish as ensemble musicians.  One of their goals is to encourage children not in the CYO program to attend concerts, listen to orchestral music and learn how to play an instrument.
